I am a warm, considerate, and creative psychotherapist. In sessions I offer a non-judgemental, safe space for clients to share their story. I work in a Person-Centred way to meet the needs of clients, and since everyone is unique it means at times, integrating: Mindfulness, CBT, Psychodynamic Therapy, Transactional Analysis, and creative approaches. Within sessions, I endeavour for clients to feel at ease and in control of their own process. My hope is that during sessions my clients can explore what health and vitality look like in their everyday life.
My journey towards becoming a psychotherapist began with a passion for social justice and healing. From my experience working in Nashville and Philadelphia with the homeless population as well as at-risk children, I more deeply understood the importance for all individuals to be heard and seen. I decided to continue to support people in their life journey in a way that felt most authentic to my creative passions. Thus, I received my Master’s degree in Dance/ Movement Psychotherapy and Counselling in the United States.
While I trained in dance/movement I offer talk therapy in private practice. My background in movement therapy allows me to use creative skills and body-based approaches to psychotherapy when relevant.
Additionally, I have worked since 2018 in schools for organisations like Place2Be. In schools I have offered creative therapy for children, drop-in lunchtime sessions for children, staff trainings, and supervised trainees counsellors. This has been inspirational work which has enhanced my ability to work with parents, families, and childhood trauma.
Please feel free to contact me without any obligation to continue in psychotherapy.
